Thursday Bonus! New DEADMAU5

So this song was supposedly given away digitally to anybody who pre-ordered tickets to Deadmau5's upcoming winter UK tour.  Technically it isn't brand new, but it's new to me.  This one will make you want to move your feet.  Not as epic as FML, Ghosts N' Stuff, Some Chords, etc. but still, come on, its the fucking MAU5.

Deadmau5 - A City in Florida

Thirsty Thursday

Its 1 pound drink night for students at the clubs in Norwich tonight, better believe I'm taking full advantage.  The jew in me can't let me pass up this offer.  So that means it's time to get started early.  It's about 5:15 right now in the UK, pregame tipoff in T-minus 2 hours.  Which means we all need some fresh music.  Here are 3 bangin tracks of all different varieties, I got some rap, dubstep, and electro in there for you.  The best of the best from these past few days.  Pump the fists high.

Kanye West ft. Drake - All of the Lights (Ghetto University)
Bumpin beat in the background to a great song.  I have to say I absolutely hated Kanye's last album (808s and Heartbreak), but whenever this next one drops it's going to be sick.  All his recent mixtape releases have been real hot.

Kid Sister - Pro Nails (Rusko Remix)
Ever since I caught on to Rusko over the summer I have been loving him.  Saw a video of his opening for Crystal Castles this summer at the HOB in Boston and it was awesome.  He's playing a show there again in the winter in Boston for anyone interested.  His dubs are always great.

The Sonixx - Losing Control
As it will tell you if you follow the link, this track shares a frighteningly similar style with early Wolfgang Gartner stuff.  The way he chops up the samples so much and just throws them all back in your face at once is great.  Genuine electro banger.  You can listen to all the Sonixx music for free on their website, they have some good stuff.  thesonixx.com

Laidback in the Maybach

First, check out this video I just snagged courtesy of Big10HouseMafia.com of Laidback Luke's opening part of his set on a UK radio channel, pretty sick to see how he does his thing.  You can find it on YouTube HERE, go to 7:05 after the interview to see him start to rip shit up.  The links on the right hand side should send you right to parts 2, 3, and 4 of his set.  That being said, that video is just a testament to how much Laidback Luke is taking the scene by storm.  The guy is just sick on all counts.  Remixes, original work, collaborations, you name it he has conquered it.  So before I hit the pub for the night I will leave you with some of my favorite Laidback Luke tracks,  these are ALL MUST DOWNLOADS.

Laidback Luke - My G.O.D. (Guns on Demo)
Fucking banger right here, electro craziness for all 5 minutes.  One of Laidback Luke's first big songs, released in May 2009.  Genuine electro track sure to get the rage going.

Laidback Luke - Blau!
This one is real cool.  Technically a collaboration with Lee Mortimer, shows what Luke can bring to a track even if he is producing it with one or more other people.  Main riff is killer and will have your fists pumping for days.

Calvin Harris - You Used to Hold Me (Laidback Luke Remix)
And here we go with the remixes.  I think in general I like Luke's remixes a tad bit more than I like his original work, you can tell whenever he brings his style on to a track.  This one is the most recent of the 4 downloads I'll give you.  AWESOME vocals, I have had this one bumpin for a few weeks now.  The most solid track out of the 4 I will give you.  I INSIST that you download.

Will Smith - Miami (Laidback Luke Remix)
I couldn't have been more excited when I saw this track online a few months ago.  Will Smith?!?! Remixed by Laidback Luke?!?! I was in, and you should be too.  Enjoy.

Ragin at UEA

So I went to the Union building here at the University of East Anglia after my 9am class today to check out the upcoming concerts.  Immediately hopped on the Crystal Castles and Easy Star All-Stars tickets, but one show caught my eye.  Magnetic Man w/ special guest Skream.  I thought, who are these acts with legendary stage names, so I asked the woman behind the desk who they were.  "Electronic and Dubstep", she replied.  BOOM, ticket sold.  Came back to the flat and checked out these two.  What I found was that they aren't as hardcore as Chrispy or Rusko or anything like that, but it is some good, good tunes.  If you get a chance download Magnetic Man's EP "The Cyberman".  Skream has a few albums out but here is the cream of the crop in my opinion.  I recommend you download all of these.

Skream - Stagger
Sorry for the shitty host site, you have to enter a three letter code on the right hand side of the screen for the download.  Skream is a bit more chill dubstep artist, the beats are flawless though and this one is tight.

Skream - Rutten
Another good one from Skream.

Magnetic Man - The Cyberman
Harder than Skream, pretty funky electronic beat with some dub mixed in there.  Check it out.

Magnetic Man - I Need Air
One of his most recent releases, tight drum beat with some killer vocals.  Great song to throw on at the party.  Rage on.

Congorock!

-
Great footy match tonight; fights, red cards, snipes, headers, everything.  Came back and all I could do was listen to this song.  Trust me this one is hard.  No real lyrics in it or anything but these days you don't need words to rage properly.  Electro beauty at it's finest, I can promise this track will get the party started.  Every build up is great and when the main riff first drops at 1:11 your face is guaranteed to melt right off.  Cheers until tomorrow.

(Relatively) New Boys Noize!

Busy day, slept in way too much.  Going to Norwich City v. Leicester City football match tonight at 7:45 (local clubs), should be sweet.  I'll leave you with 2 new songs that Boys Noize just released.  Recently, Boys Noize has been tearing it up, heard the set at Electric Zoo was unreal.  I have been a fan of theirs for a while, their album "Oi Oi Oi" is awesome, every song is good.  Nothin but high quality electro madness to fill your ears.  Here is 1010/Yeah from Boys Noize.

Introducing J-Crew

Not a ton going on today, had to go out and get books and what not for classes/prepare myself for actual academic responsibilities.  Been working on a lot of my own shit too in the past few days so keep an eye out.  Anyway, here is my boy hailing from Natick, MA: J-Crew.  He turned me on to a lot of electronic music and he recently started playing shows in the NY area around Hofstra (where he goes to school).  This is the full set rip from a show he played a few days ago.  If you have the patience, listen to the whole thing or throw it on and let it rock during the party.  Perfect music for cocktail thursday, Phi Alpha.

J-Crew - Own the Night (Sept25, 2010)
Str8 bumpin!!!

Tiga - You Gonna Want Me (Hey Today! Remix)
Special treat!  Sick electro remix of a summer jam.  I am sure everyone has heard the original, I couldn't turn off the radio this summer within hearing that shit.  The remix is bumpin though, just came out in the last few days check it out.

P.S. - Lil Waynes new EP, "I Am Not A Human Being" was released on iTunes today.  If you feel like paying for you music you can get the whole thing there or you can rip most of the tracks off sites like hiphopearly.com or hotnewhiphop.com.  I have been scowering the interweb for a free download of the EP in it's entirety.  I'll let you know when I find it.

Sorry for Partying, Dad!

I already posted one song by "Sorry for Partying", and they just dropped this one.  Awesome mash-up group, these songs will get the party going for sure.  If you like Super Mash Bros, DJ Ellipsis, or any other great mash-up artists Sorry for Partying is for you.  Great stage name too, bravo.  This one is Mike Posner's "Cooler Than Me" mixed with Lil Wayne and Kevin Rudolf's "Let It Rock".  Hit the link below to download.

Sorry for Partying - Cooler Than Rock (ft. Mike Posner, Kevin Rudolf, Lil Wayne)
Awesome, no need to say more, just download it.

Sorry for Partying - Who Loves A Hustla (Pretty Lights vs. Cassidy)
This one I already posted on a previous post but trust me, there is a need to post it again.  Mixes Pretty Lights "Who Loves Me" in with some Jay-Z and Cassidy.  The Pretty Lights song by itself is sick but now we've got some lyrics on it to make it appeal to everybody.  Enjoy!

WOMPWOMPWOMP

In the brief time that I have been a fan of dubstep there have only been a few artists that have stood out in my mind, Nero being one of them.  Their shit is on iTunes, and it's out there in the interwebs if you look in the right places.  Sick dubstep artist, their remixes are dank but his original shit is awesome too.  They released a new song very recently which I snagged courtesy of www.dubstepcollective.com.  Remix of Plan B's "The Recluse", awesome dub as usual from these guys.  Click to download below along with a few of their other great jams.

Plan B - The Recluse (Nero Dubstep Remix)
Not the hardest dubstep in the world, but the strings mixed in with Nero's electronic bassline and diesel dubstep tricks provide for a sick tune.

Nero - Innocence
The first Nero song I ever heard, so sick.  Builds up almost like a house track and then body slams you with the dubstep beats.  Recommended download for sure.

Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff (Nero Remix)
The best remix of one of the best songs ever.  Ghosts N Stuff was the song that turned me on to electronic music and this remix was the one that made me appreciate dubstep.  Dirty.

Pub A Dub Dub

Early night back from the pub tonight, its about 11:45 UK time.  Just enough time to throw up one last jam. Heard some classic songs from the DJ playing the pub tonight including Rage Against the Machine's classic "Killing in the Name".  I grew up on these guys and if you thrown em on today, people still rock out hard. How could they get any better, you say?  Enter SeBASStian, french electro artist known for remixes of songs by artists such as Daft Punk, Bloc Party, and the Who.  Electro twist on this Rage song makes for an absolute sucker punch of a track.  Download if you want to rage...

Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name (SebAstian Remix)

NFL Sunday

Ahh, the beauty of the NFL.  God put Sunday and football on the same day for a reason.  Superb way to kill time on a Sunday recovering from whatever shenanigans you may have taken part in the night before.  Also a great way to procrastinate any work that you may have told youself you would get done over that past weekend.  And of course, nothing is better at halftime than bloking a smunt with your mates and listenin to some great music.  Here are a few nice songs to play when your body can't take any more house or electro.

Lil Wayne - Bill Gates
Ever since Weezy somehow released a mixtape over the summer (It's called RED, you can download it HERE) I have thoroughly enjoyed most of the songs he has released.  This one is honestly the best he has had, there is no absurd auto tune or any layering of Wayne saying random shit in the background or wheezing and coughing, lighting up blunts in the studio, etc.  It sounds like it is straight off the Carter 2, which is, in my opinion, the best studio album he ever came out with.  If you like rap, you NEED to download this.

Gucci Mane - Haterade (ft. Nicki Minaj & Pharrell)
Pharrell's productions are always great, the man can make a beat.  Gucci doesn't ruin the song by taking forever to say anything or yell out "Yaooooooooo, It's Guuccciiiiiiiii" for the first 20 seconds of the track.  His verse is actually pretty good, better than Nicki Minaj's, one of the more quality tracks you'll find when sifting through his ruthlessly large amount of mixtape releases.

Kanye West - Runaway (ft. Pusha T)
This song I have already listened to pretty much nonstop for the 12 days that it's been in my library.  Kanye West's new album is going to be unreal.  The 10 or so songs he has released through various mixtapes have all been great ("G.O.O.D. Friday", "Power", "Monster", "Devil in a New Dress", etc.), so I would check them all out if you haven't.  His new stuff seems to be spreading pretty quickly though.

Trae the Truth ft. Lupe Fiasco - Bad Don't Seem So Wrong
Although this is technically a Trae the Truth song, this one is all about Lupe.  I can't fucking wait for the next Lupe Fiasco album, he has been going in on everything he has recorded for mixtapes in the past year and he is one of my favorite artists of all time.  Supposedly, this upcoming album is going to be a 3 DISC, 40 TRACK PRODUCTION, rumored to be titled "The LupE.N.D.", meaning he is going to retire after releasing this album.  Just rumors though, only time will tell, enjoy.

Some "Chrispy" Tracks

I can't believe I have never heard of this guy!  Most of these songs were released earlier this year, but they are new to me.  My recent obsession with dubstep has put me on an infinite search for the hardest, bassiest, bumpinest dubstep out there, and Chrispy is up there.  He does some cool instrumental covers like "Requiem for A Dream" and "Inspector Gadget", but the money is in the remixes.  He puts a dubstep twist on these 3 Rihanna, Ke$ha, and La Roux songs.  Throw em on at your Saturday night rager.

Rihanna - Rude Boy (Chrispy Dubstep Remix)

Ke$ha - Tik Tok (Chrispy Dubstep Remix)

La Roux - Bulletproof (Chrispy Dubstep Remix)

Yours Truly

Here is a mix that I threw together the other day.  It's got parts of 4 new Deadmau5 songs that he started playing during his tour this summer (which I saw at the House of Blues in Boston in July, one of the best shows I have ever seen and the best I have seen this year).  I need to get some better software considering I really only used garageband and some other lame stuff that comes with my Macbook.  Go to 2:25 for a sweet build up.  Enjoy.  Leave a comment tell me what you think.

D.M.K. - Sleeping Animals Need A Weapon

HOODIE ALLEN

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is Hoodie Allen.  New york jew rapper who was actually in attendance at a frat party of ours last spring.  This mixtape is excellent party music, whoever produced it is straight awesome, all the beats are great.  You can download the entire mixtape for free at timeforthepeprally.com.  Have a listen through the whole thing, sure to blow up on college campuses everywhere.  My three favorite songs are as follows, but like I said it's worth downloading the entire mixtape.

1. Look at What We Started

2. Swimming with Sharks

5. You Are Not A Robot

Revitalize, Reenergize, Re-MIX...

Good morning from the UK, awoke 10 minutes ago after a night of pubs and campus club to an onslaught of classic, shitty England rain.  While you recooperate and reload for your Saturday night, ill leave you with 2 remixes that are sure to get the party started.

Sam Adams - Some Chords (Deadmau5 Remix)
Being that he's from Boston, Sam Adams had to make an appearance here.  I am not a big fan of his more poppy songs, but his recent mixtape shit has been good as hell.  His flow on this song is actually admirable and he makes it work as a banger.  Here he is going in hard with a cut off Deadmau5's "Some Chords"in the background.  Highly suggested download.

Passion Pit - Sleepyhead (Borgore Dubstep Remix)
Borgore is fucking fantastic.  Everything he touches turns to dubstep gold.  Another song that was one of my favorites before anyone ever got their hands on to remix, Sleepyhead stands great by itself but the dubstep twist thrusts it over the edge into musical insanity.  Enjoy.

Put It Out!...Put It Out!!

These tracks are too hot, you're gonna need a fire extinguisher.  Great night in merry old England.  Think of me when you bump these bangers.  Party on...

Sorry For Partying - Who Loves A Hustla (Pretty Lights vs. Cassidy)
Absolutely bomb track right here.  One of my all time favorite pretty lights songs mixed with some fresh lines courtesy of Cassiday.  Check it out for sure; will leave your eardrums ringin.

Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor (Laidback Luke Remix)
Laidback Luke has done it again.  This guy has provided nonstop raging beats from the minute he stepped on the scene, as is with anything he touches, I encourage you to download this track.

Peace out, one love.  See you all tomorrow.

I...AM NOT A HUMAN BEING

Hope I don't blow my post load too soon.  Here is the 4th and final post of the night before I hit the pubs here in Norwich, England.  Big ups to everyone checkin out the blog, enjoy the tunes.  Here are a few jams I've got jumpin off at the pregame...

Professor Green - Monster feat. Example (Camo & Krooked Remix)
Shout to my bro back in CarLISLE for this one, great dub.

Boys Noize & Erol Alkan - Avalanche
This one dropped a while ago, but I've been addicted ever since.  Boys Noize and Erol Alkan released 2 double singles last year (Avalanche/Lemonade and Waves/Death Suite), check them out if you can, all great tracks.

Lil Wayne - I Am Not A Human Being (New Verses)
This song was hot as shit in the winter of last year, how could it possibly be better?  Well, Weezy somehow banged out 3 new verses before he got tossed behind bars, and it makes for a great party song.

Afrojack - Barbara Streisand (Duck Sauce Ducky Mix)
This song along with a similar remix dropped today, grabbed it off a fellow electro music blogger.  Check it out, Afrojack kills it per usual.

Tayyib Ali...the Best Rapper You've Never Heard Of

17 years old, hailing from Philadelphia, I give you...Tayyib Ali.  I was looking around for some new music the other day and I stumbled upon a few tracks from one of my favorite music blogs, thissongissick.com, and found 2 great songs by this guy.  The beats are dope and the kids got great flow.  Kind of a Kid Cudi sound, with swag like Wiz Khalifa.  My personal favorite is "Kid Again" (Produced by I.L.O.), sick beat, sick track.  Scroll down for posts made earlier today.

Dubsteppin in Londontown

Second post in an hour, boom!  So for the previous month I spent living in the heart of London as part of a school Study Abroad program.  Great city, can't wait for the Mau5 to play Dec 18th show there.  One thing I learned was, man, do these guys like their dubstep.  Heard about a few different dubstep artists while over there you may not have heard of.  Here are a few of my faves.  Hit the jumps to download.  Cheers.

Great track, vocals are sweet and Borgore mixes in his usual ruthless behavior.

Pretty hard dub, if you switch the letters of the name around it says "cuntface", Bravo.

This one I heard last spring, still bumps real hard.  Nero's got a lot of great stuff.

Prepare to Rage...

I am at your disposal, my only purpose is to serve you with truly bangin' music.  If life has taught me one thing, it is to appreciate a good jam.  I'm talkin' head bumping, heart pounding jam sesh.  Electro/House/Techno/Rap, all of that.  I will do my best to provide tunes that do these very things and more.  Here are a few current tracks I've been rockin out to.  Hit the jumps for downloads.
