Pure Jams

Nothing to say, these are all sooper dooper jams.  I neglected the dubstep this week so there are a few serious dub gems in here.  I put the team on my back.

Sweet, melodic dubber with some great sounding vocal parts.

Hardcore dubstep song, real tough and grimey.

Electro-house gold.  Also older, but this song is one of the hardest out there right now, when it drops there is no way you will still be in your seat.

#1 dubstep song on Beatport going on about a week, it seems once again that Calvertron is incapable of making a bad track.  Wub.

Seriously tough dubstep song.  Tinie Tempah (of "Miami 2 Ibiza" fame) kills it once again on this track. Add the unbeatable voice of Ellie Goulding and the terrifying yet awesome style of Bare Noize, and what you get is arguably the best dubstep track released this year.

Call My Name

This track is HUGE!  Sweet progressive jam remixed by some of the best in the business.  Love Nadia Ali's voice, you may remember her from Avicii's remix of her "Rapture" track.  Seriously, every version of this song is different and well done.  Dave Aude and Spencer & Hill lend their talents to the track for the 2 additional remixes posted.  Dave Aude did that killer remix of Rihanna's "S&M" that I posted the other day, and I think when I name drop Spencer & Hill, nothing more needs to be said.

PS...Original mix is a YouTube link, no free download out there yet.

HOLY BLAKE GRIFFIN!  Guy can throw it down.  After a great weekend, here are a few tracks both new and old alike that drop about as hard as Blake throws it down.  A couple tough Progressive tracks courtesy of Axwell and Thomas Gold, really great dance floor material right there, A cut off Wiz Khalifa's new mixtape "Cabin Fever", an electro-house banger courtesy of PBJ, and a classic Wolfgang Gartner jam to celebrate the announcement of his spring tour.  See you in Philly on April 29th, Wolf.

TV Rock - In the Air (Axwell Remix)

Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers - Blow Up (Thomas Gold vs. Axwell Remix)

Wiz Khalifa ft. Big Sean - GangBang

Far Too Loud - Start the Party (Original Mix)

Dazed & Confused

Too deaded to pull together a huge post, so heres a filthy, grimey, beautiful dubstep banger I recently discovered.  Not very familiar with the original, but Skisms remix here is absolute fire.  Crazy shit, monster track, reminds me of Flux Pavilion with a few Skrillex-esque overdriven, glitch-out moments in there as well, enjoy.  Big post tomorrow when I get my act together...

Keep It Simple

I've been into minimal house lately. It's perfect study music that won't distract you but keeps you going. Check out the following tracks for a taste of what minimal tech house has to offer:

Enjoy.

Beefin Up

Now that school has started for real and the days of rock star week after rock star week no longer seem feasible, we recognize that consistency of posts have not been up to par recently.  I believe I have found a solution.  The old format of linking 1-3 songs with commentary on them may have reached it's end.  From now on, I'm simply going to throw 5-10 tracks at you every few days, some brand new shit, and some classics.  I'm also going to start posting monthly essential mixes with the best house/electro/dubstep tracks of the month on one continuous mix for you to enjoy with maybe even some original mashup goodies in there.  Hope this feeds everyones appetite for ragery!

PeaceTreaty - Cal State Anthem (Cold Blank Remix)
Electro/house sickness again from Cold Blank, his remixes can't be touched.

Rihanna - S&M (Sidney Samson Club Mix)
Found this track among the Top 10 dance tracks on iTunes, total banger.  I can honestly admit I am a Rihanna fan, and a bigger Sidney Samson fan.

J. Rabbit - Ninja Step
1 of 2 tracks from J.Rabbit's new EP.  Grimey ass dubstep, some of you may remember "Sexy Party", which J.Rabbit also had a hand in.

C-Mos - 2 Million Ways (Axwell Remix)
Not that new, but I can't stop listening to it.  That orchestra riff just gets me going every time.  Axwell is unreal.

Wolfgang Gartner - Illmerica (Split Second's Party Rock Remix)
One of the best electro-house tracks of the year coupled with party starting lyrics courtesy of Split Second, a hip hop contingency that remixes dubstep and electro tracks.

THROWBACK ALERT!!!
Benny Benassi ft. Channing - Come Fly Away
Benny's new album is gonna drop soon, and both tracks I have heard from it ("Cinema" and "Electroman") are absolute fire.  This one right here is a classic, one of the best songs Benassi ever made.  Cheers bitches.

Freakin Weekend

After a head-thumping hangover day resulting from fun overload on Thirsty Thursday, the weekend has arrived.  No longer have to worry about looking and feeling like an ass from noon to 7pm the next two days.  It's time to party hard, and no party is complete without some HAU5!

Viro & Rob Analyze - WannuB (Cold Blank's Park-o-Polo Remix)
Cold blank has remixed tunes from big names like Rank 1, Notorious BIG, and Daft Punk.  The electro genius continues here with a superior remix of Viro & Rob Analyze's "WannuB".

Kaskade & Tiesto (ft. Haley) - Only You (Kaskade Remix)
Two gigantic artists come together with a top notch vocalist to create a progressive house banger.  With these 3 names headlining the track, how can you not listen?

Avicii - Sweet Dreams (Sweeder Dreams Mix)
The swede's recut, revamped version of the 80s classic "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics.  I don't think there is anything Avicii can't do.

Fresh Til' Death

A lot of new shit dropped this weekend, so here I present the best of the best of what I have heard for you. Pretty eclectic post here, a little something for everybody to enjoy.  Take it from Dr. Steve Brule, these tunes are good for your health!

Benny Benassi ft. T-Pain - Electroman (Original Mix)
This track is gonna be huge, not only is Benassi in his early 40s and still cranking out some of the best music of the entire house genre, but he is able to switch up his style and incorporate T-Pain to make this jam more mainstream and enjoyable for everyone.

Lupe Fiasco ft. Skylar Grey - Words I Never Said
Lupe's next album is gaining hype and is pretty much guaranteed to be fire.  This jam is no different, add in the beautiful voice of Skylar Grey and you have an unbeatable track.

Flux Pavilion - Bass Cannon
I'm not sure how new this song actually is, but I heard it for the first time last week.  Real grimey, good stuff from Flux.

Lil Wayne - Green & Yellow
Came out just before the Superbowl, should be the Green Bay anthem for the next year.  Great game, great song.

TGIF

Get ready for the weekend.  Exit that final class with your head held high because, now, it's time to party.

Not a crazy house or dubstep song or anything, just ram and reeedddd buuulllll.

This, on the other hand, is pretty crazy.

New Bassnectar Track! Ellie Goulding - Lights Remix

This bad boy dropped last night after Bassnectar made a tour announcement.  There have been a shitload of remixes of "Lights", and this version is definitely up there with the best.  Can't wait to see the Nectar come through on his spring tour.  Turn dis shit up.

Engage the Rage

Pretty Lights played this song at their NYE 2010 show in Chicago and it's ridiculous. It's a remix of Kanye West's track All Of The Lights.

Great Kaskade remix right here, enjoy.

Never heard of this artist before but it's a great house song.

Here's another song by the 18 year old from New Orleans. Apparently New Orleans can produce more than just blues and jazz.

January Essential Dubstep Mix

Here you go, a mix I put together with all the best dubstep of January.  These tunes are all pretty heavy so be warned, this is dubstep at it's filthiest and grimiest and awesomest.  Shit is phreaky.
